Here is one of my methods I’ve been using to gain alot of friends and followers on social media sites like Twitter and facebook.
Before we start let me put out a WARNING and disclaimer. This is a black hat method, but it’s not really that black hat but better suited for grey hat so I do not want to many be SCARED or concerned that the Police will be knocking on your door in the next day.
It all boils down to this. Basically most of the social media sites allow you to import your contact list from either your email client or other social media sites. You might have seen it before when every time you sign up the next few questions are let your friends know about your new account. So the key is to have a massive amount of contacts in your email client.
Why is this important? Hopefully most of you know what Linkwheels are how great they are to give you link juice. A great tool I used for Link Wheels was SENUKE. Yes it’s true they are great, but what i didn’t realize that i was not utilizing the Web 2.0 properties to the fullest. I can take advantage of their internal traffic as well. So what you need to do is to gain alot of friends and followers to your social media accounts. For example you’ll get better diggs.com thumbs up if you had plenty of followers giving it to you. Now that is so much better than bookmarking a site and let it sit there with only one digg.
So now you the importance of gaining lot of follower now let me explain the steps. Your going to need ALOT of email address. Unfortunately not all of us are blessed with a huge mailing list of subscribers so what is the quick solution?
You can purchase email list and use email scrapers that can gather lists from people posting their email address. But the problem is that you can’t just merely add them and send out the emails because you can hit real hard as a spammer. So the key is to filter them thru your email client like gmail.com or yahoo email. So what you do is upload your email list to your webmail account. here is a tip you will need to break up the email to about 2,000 emails at a time. Don’t try to upload more than that because you will have a higher risk of unsuccessful upload.
Once you upload the emails you should have a nice list of contacts. Now don’t think you can just email all of them, because like i said you will be targeted as a spammer.
Next create your social media accounts like facebook and twitter. Follow the steps to notify your contacts in your email. Now the site will notify everyone in your contact list that you opened up a new account and they will add you as a friend.
Here is some key tips
1. Create a female account with a generic name “janet smith” “Lucy Jenkins”. Make sure you update as much information in your profile as possible. Don’t just settle for 1 fake looking picture other blank stuff. Make it believable. Look other profiles and find some good examples. Put the high school and/or college name and all your hobbys.
2. Most email accounts will have a maximum amount of contacts. Like gmail only allows 10,000 at the most. So you might have to create several different email accounts if you have more than 10000
3. Be very patient. Don’t over do it, don’t put up any red flags
4. You’ll have a better success with Facebook. Most people will have a facebook account. Some my ask how they know you.. Just say it was a friend of a friend recommendation. You don’t wanna be flagged.
5. Don’t monetize right away. Wait until you have good amount of friends before you start marketing
I did leave out a very important thing. I made this method very easy if you want to get started right away. I have got a list of email addresses that I scraped from Craigslist. I like craigslist emails because they are real good ones that i know people actually read and have a less chance of being a fake one.
I have a list of 20,000 of FRESH Emails on a CSV file. I formatted the files so you can easily upload them as Microsoft outlook files. They all come from the US and in the categories Gigs, Adult, Talent, Activities, and Childcare. Think about how much easier it would be for you to get the 5000 friends amount. Use that same list and duplicate it digg.com, twitter.com, plus many more.
